- A price agreed with us directly
- Straight answers about what isn’t built yet
Plans may differ once pricing is published.
How much does Nehemiah cost?
There’s no public price list yet. During early access, each organization’s price is agreed with us directly, and every live feature is included.
How do other volunteer tools price?
Published prices run from free sign-up tools to quote-only platforms with setup fees and paid add-ons. Our comparison lists each tool’s public prices, with sources and the date we checked.
What’s included?
Everything below is live today, for every organization in early access. Anything still on the way is listed separately with its status.
Every organization also gets the same protections: access by role, private documents and US hosting. Read about security and privacy.
AI teammate
How the AI teammate works- Volunteer Concierge
AI onboarding from sign-up to a first shift: a welcome, requests for the role’s paperwork, reminders 2, 5, 9 and 14 days after the last progress, a “call them” to-do for staff if someone goes quiet, and an invitation to the soonest open shift they’re cleared for.
- Ask Nehemiah
An assistant you talk to, by typing or by voice (in browsers that support speech input). It sets up roles, requirements, schedules, forms, automations and email templates, finds people and drafts emails. Changes are logged and can be undone.
Paperwork and credentials
Compliance tracking- Compliance
Requirements per role (documents, e-sign agreements, trainings, staff verifications and forms), one review queue, a person × requirement matrix, reminders 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before anything expires, optional scheduling holds, AI pre-checks of uploaded documents (clear reads approved at Full), and a monthly check of the OIG exclusion list.
- OIG screening
Checks volunteers against the HHS-OIG exclusion list (LEIE) every month and flags possible matches for your team. SAM.gov stays a staff check.
Scheduling and check-in
Volunteer scheduling- Scheduling
Recurring schedules (“every 2nd Tuesday”, “every other Saturday”), standing commitments, week, month and list views, a gaps list, auto-fill that invites up to 4 people per open spot by default with one-tap Claim this spot links, waitlists and calendar (ICS) feeds.
- Opportunities
Ongoing positions (for example “Front desk: 3 × 6 hrs/week”), projects, events and sign-up sheets.
- Kiosk check-in
Volunteers check in on a front-desk tablet by typing their name and tapping Check in, and a coordinator locks the tablet with a PIN. Hours are recorded.
Messages
Volunteer communication- Email
Newsletters, announcements and urgent alerts (which can also cancel that day’s shifts), saved groups with a live count, scheduled sends, a block-based email builder with desktop and phone preview, merge fields, and a brand kit pulled from your logo or website. Quiet hours, frequency preferences and one-click unsubscribe keep it polite.
Autopilot, records and reports
Tour every feature- Autopilot
20+ ready-made recipes (welcomes, paperwork chasers, shift reminders, open-shift fill, thank-yous, re-engagement, digests and newsletters), a visual flow editor and run history.
- People
Searchable volunteer records (a light CRM), a journey board, person profiles with schedule, paperwork, messages and notes, saved groups, CSV import with column mapping, and merging duplicates.
- Forms
A form builder, a branded public organization page and join form, an embed snippet for your website and a QR code for flyers.
- Volunteer portal
Passwordless (a sign-in link by email). Volunteers see their next shift and open spots that fit, describe their availability in their own words, upload documents from a phone, sign agreements on screen, and see their hours and a certificate.
- Reports
Hours, the value of volunteer time ($36.14 an hour, Independent Sector’s national value of a volunteer hour, released April 2026), coverage, the journey funnel, sign-up sources, messaging and AI stats, and CSV exports.
- Multiple organizations
One staff login can belong to many organizations, and a volunteer can serve several with one portal login.
Not included yet
- Reply handling Rolling out
Volunteers reply to any email. Nehemiah answers the routine replies (confirm, can’t make it, availability changes, unsubscribe) and sends the rest to a person with a drafted answer. Until it is switched on, replies go to your organization’s own reply-to address.
- Text messages Coming soon
Text reminders and alerts. Volunteers will opt in on sign-up forms; STOP and HELP will work.
- Sending from your own domain Coming soon
Emails show your organization’s name today. Sending from your own email domain is coming.
- Group sign-ups Not available yet
One leader registering a whole team isn’t built yet. Today each person claims their own spot, or a coordinator adds them.
- Hospice report pack Not available yet
Reports for 42 CFR 418.78 (the 5% volunteer-time rule and cost savings) aren’t available yet. Hours, trainings and CSV exports work today.
How does early access work?
In three steps: you tell us about your program, you see Nehemiah with your own roles and schedule, and then you bring your volunteers over. Your price is agreed with us directly.
-
Tell us about your program
Your roles, how you schedule today and the paperwork you track. A short note is plenty.
-
See it with your own examples
A walkthrough with your own roles, schedule and paperwork, with straight answers about anything, including what isn’t built yet.
-
Bring your volunteers over
Import your list from a spreadsheet (you match the columns), merge any duplicates, and let Autopilot start the follow-up.
Early access means Nehemiah is new and still growing. What’s live and what’s on the way are marked on this page, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
FAQ
Pricing questions
Is there a public price list?
Not yet. While Nehemiah is in early access, pricing is set with each organization to fit its program. We’ll go over yours on a walkthrough.
Talk to us Does every organization get every feature?
During early access, yes: every organization gets every live feature on this page. Features marked Rolling out, Coming soon or Not available yet aren’t available to anyone yet. Plans may differ once pricing is published.
Does it replace my volunteer spreadsheet?
Yes. Import your list from a CSV file (you match the columns), merge any duplicates, and Nehemiah becomes the record of who your volunteers are, what they’ve completed and when they serve. You can export your data to CSV whenever you like.
Getting your data in and out Do you send text messages?
Not yet. Text messages are coming soon. Volunteers will opt in on your sign-up form, and STOP and HELP will work. Email works today.
Volunteer communication How do we get started?
