Galaxy Digital
Did Better Impact buy Galaxy Digital?
Yes. Better Impact announced in March 2026 that it had acquired Get Connected by Galaxy Digital. Together they cite 85,000+ organizations, 400+ volunteer centers and 600 million+ hours of volunteer data, and Galaxy customers aren’t required to migrate.
| Topic | What their sites say |
|---|---|
| Announced | March 2026 |
| For Galaxy customers | Not required to migrate; Galaxy’s products continue |
| Galaxy’s products | Get Connected (Center, Campus and Volunteer Link editions), Amplify, Sustain, Shift and HandsOn Connect |
| Who Galaxy serves | Volunteer centers, United Ways, government, higher ed, K-12, faith-based groups, healthcare and hospice, food banks and corporate CSR |
| Galaxy pricing | No public prices; demo-led |
| Galaxy AI | None on the homepage or app page |
If you use Get Connected and are weighing your options, the comparison on this page applies too. Nehemiah is smaller and newer, and it focuses on onboarding and follow-up inside your own programs rather than on running a community-wide volunteer center. See how Nehemiah works.
Credentials and training
How does each handle credentials and training?
Both track what a volunteer must finish before serving. Better Impact’s hospice page highlights eligibility-based shift sign-up and built-in training modules. Nehemiah gives each role its own checklist, chases renewals before they lapse, pre-checks licenses with AI and checks the OIG exclusion list every month.
Better Impact (from its hospice page)
- Online recruiting and onboarding
- Eligibility-based shift sign-up
- Training modules
- Surveys and badges
- Secure volunteer access to client information
- Linking volunteers with patients and families
Nehemiah
- Each role gets its own checklist: documents, e-sign agreements, trainings, staff checks and short forms.
- Reminders go out 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before anything expires, and scheduling can be held until it’s renewed.
- AI pre-checks uploaded documents. At Full, the default once an owner or admin turns the AI on, Nehemiah approves clear reads; the rest wait for your team.
- The OIG exclusion list is checked every month, and possible matches go to your team. SAM.gov stays a staff check.
- Trainings you already host elsewhere: volunteers open your link, finish it and confirm.
- Until an owner or admin accepts a plain-language notice, Nehemiah holds back uploads it identifies as health records (such as TB results); reading them can be switched off later.
